Wolves put Lakers on brink of elimination; Pacers, Celtics win

For the third time in three games, the MInnesota Timberwolves were able to find the resolve to upstage the Los Angeles Lakers, who are now put on the brink of elimination.

Now it’s panic time on LA land after Minnesota pulled off a 116-113 win in Game 4 and the Lakers could become the first if not the latest higher-seeded squad to bow out in the post season.

Unless Lebron James and Luka Doncic could perform a miracle in the next three games, an early elimination would definitely be disaster for the Lakers.

The Lakers’ resurrection should begin on containing Anthony Edwards, who had been outperforming both the more established stars.

In Game 4, Edwards put on a shooting and finished with 43 points, built around five treys, while also pulling down nine rebounds and dishing out six assists.

The Lakers also didn’t have the solid post presence who could either impose his will inside or step up and contest the bigger shooters of the Timberwolves, a stretch big like Naz Reid, inside operator Julius Randle and the lengthy Rudy Gobert.

James and Doncic should start regathering the team and play with much sense of urgency in hope of salvaging Game 5 and bring something positive from there the rest of the series.

Also winning were the Indiana Pacers and the Boston Celtics, who also both moved a win away from moving to the next round.

The Pacers clobbered the Milwaukee Bucks, 129-103, while the Celtics dumped the Magic, 107-98.
