Warriors survive playoff meltdown, Rockets in Game 7

In the end, the Golden State Warriors averted what could have been one of the biggest meltdowns in league history and instead put together an inspiring performance by winning big on the road — a 103-89 triumph over the Houstin Rockets at the Toyota Center in Houston on Monday.

The Warriors unloaded 33 fourth-quarter points with Buddy Heild doing much of the damage, scoring 33 points, built around nine three-point shots.

Hield’s hot shooting overshadowed a near triple-double performance from Steph Curry, who submitted 22 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists.

Several other players were also key contributors for the Warriors — Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green.

Butler flirted with a triple-double, hitting 20 markers and pulling down eight boards and dishing out seven assists and a steal.

Green had 16 points and six rebounds and was his usual effective self on the defensive end.
