Lions’ newest breed Medroso shows fangs as San Beda waylays MLQU

It didn’t take long for Red Cub sensation, Randaile Medroso, to transition in becoming one of the latest members of the Red Lions pack of San Beda.

Medroso had a near double-double performance of 20 points and eight boards and powered the Red Lions to a one-sided 91-64 thrashing of Manuel Luis Quezin University in the under-25 division of the National Developmental Sports League Basketball Series Tuesday at the Metpark Arena.

Four other players wound up in double figures for San Beda.

Daniel Marcelo had 15 points, Dom Sarigumba and Lawrence Hawkins each tallied 12 and Je Lopez had 11 for the Red Lions, who scored 56 points inside the shaded lane, half than what the Stallions could produce.

San Beda also forced MLQU to 25 turnovers, which resulted to more points on transition and baskets coming from turnovers for the Red Lions. The Mendiola-based dribblers came away with 42 points off turnovers and 32 points coming from fast breaks.
