The Oklahoma Thunder went off to a jackrabbit start and never looked back in beating the Minnesota Timberwolves, 124-94 in Game 4 of their Western Conference finals series on Wednesday night (Thursday morning in Manila) at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City.
A sizzling 26-9 blast to open up the first period were all the Thunder needed in putting away their rivals as Oklahoma now moved on threshold of a return trip to the NBA finals.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander flirted with a triple-double performance, finishing with 34 points, pulling down seven rebounds and dishing out eight assists plus picking up two steals and those MVP-type numbers were enough to carry the Thunder.
Chet Holmgren contributed 22 markers, grabbing seven rebounds and blocking three shots to back up SGA even as Jalen Williams was a solid contributor with 19 points, eight rebounds a and five assists numbers.
So steady were the Thunder, who hit 52.3% from the field compared to the 41.2% submitted by the Timberwolves.
