Haliburton To The Rescue | Pacers steal Thunder from Oklahoma in Game 1

Once again, Tyrese Haliburton preserved his best for last.

Now fast emerging as one of the best closers in the game, Haliburton knocked in the game-winning jumper with three tenths of a second left to lift Indiana to a thrilling 111-110 squeaker of Oklahoma to kick off hostilities of their NBA best-of-seven finals series on Thursday night (Friday morning) at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City.

Haliburton’s jumper capped the Pacers’ climb from a 15-popint deficit and a perfect ending for his team in stealing one from Oklahoma’s homecourt.

Haliburton flirted with a triple-double performance, finishing with 14 points, 10 rebounds and six assists, but the epic comeback was also made possible by Myles Turner, who hit clutch baskets down the stretch.

Turner contributed 15 markers, while four other Indiana players ended up in double figures to showcase that balance firepower needed by the squad.

Pascal Siakam led the way with 19 markers, while Obi Toppin came off the bench and produced 17 points, including five three-point shots. Andrew Nembhard added 14 and Aaron Nesmith chipped in 10 for the Pacers, who outrebounded the Thunder, 56-39.
