Cone’s ejection serves as fitting backdrop in Ginebra’s latest loss to Meralco

Seeing Tim Cone getting ejected and storming out of the Big Dome in a hurry isn’t strange after all for the winningest coach in PBA history.

It’s just one of those nights that it’s not the right time for him to talk so he would just leave right a way before saying things he’s going to regret.

Cone’s ejection served as a fitting backdrop in Ginebra’s latest loss — a 73-82 setback at the hands of fierce rival Meralco.

The only coach to win two grand slams was called for a second technical foul as he went inside the court just a few seconds before the match ended.

As soon as he got ejected, Cone immediately picked up his things inside the locker room and left. No words were said, but his actions would tell how dejected he was in his team’s latest loss compounded by the two technical fouls slapped against him.
