Haliburton’s 3 completes Pacers’ road dominance over Cavs to take 2-0 lead

The Indiana Pacers big hits on tour continued on Wednesday at the Rocket Arena in Cleveland with Tyrese Haliburton capping that perfect ending in Game 2 with a game-winning, step back three-point shot to send his squad to a thrilling 120-119 win over the Cavaliers and moving halfway to advancing to the next round of the NBA playoffs.

All the plays of Indiana that happened in the last 12 seconds involved Haliburton.

A member of the US Team that played in the FIBA World Cup in Manila two years ago, Haliburton drove hard to the basket and picked up a foul from Ty Jerome.

Haliburton made his first free throw, then bungled his second shot, but was able to get his own missed shot then took matters into his own hands when he let loose a triple that went in with 1.1 seconds left to stun the crowd inside the arena.

With no timeouts left, the Cavaliers had to rush to the other end and couldn’;t get off a good shot as time expired as players of the visiting Pacers celebrated right in the middle of the court with Haliburton emerging like the conquering hero.

Six players wound up in double figures for the Pacers, including Haliburton’s 19-point, and 9-rebound output.

Andrew Nembrhard had a double-double game of 13 points and 13 assists, to go along with two steals, including that last heist which set up Haliburton’s late-game heroics.

Aaron Nesmith and Myles Turner each produced 23 markers to lead the way for the Pacers while Benedict Mathurin came off the bench and submitted 19 markers and Pascal Siakam contributed 12 for Indiana, which will return home in high spirits.
