Randaile Medroso, San Beda’s newest sensation, sat out the team’s second game in the NDSL under-25 Basketball Series on Thursday, but that hardly had any effects on the Red Lions, who found the Falcons of Adamson an easy prey, 78-54, at the Metpark Sports Arena.
With Medroso not seeing action, several players stepped up led by Zairose Mina and Aldous Torculas, who wound up with 12 points apiece, while Daniel Marcelo added 11 markers.
San Beda’s strong suit, however, was seen on its defensive game plan as it held Adamson to just 38.6% shooting from the field. The Red Lions hit 28-of-51 shots for a steady 54.9% shooting.
That steady shooting was made possible by San Beda’s bench players, who produced 44 points, half better than what Adamson could provide.
