Try and stop the San Juan Knights, one of only few undefeated teams in the MPBL 2025 Season and on Wednesday, the former league champion carved out a hard-earned 89-83 win over Imus at the Pasay Astrodome.
It was the seventh win in as many games for the Knights, who were led by Orlan Wamar.
The diminutive guard flirted with a triple-double performance of 28 points, six rebounds and nine assists as his brilliant, all-around game had once again carried the Knights to a tough win to stay on track for a potential title run.
San Juan’s win came via the hard way, but Pasay and Rizal did it in vengeful fashion.
Both coming off bitter setbacks, Pasay and Rizal hurdled their respective rivals to get back on the winning track.
The Voyagers turned back the challenge of Basilan, 78-74, with AJ Cioronel playing a perfect game and hitting all his seven shots from the field.
Coronel ended up with 17 points to go along with five rebounds as Pasay atoned from its previous setback against Batangas City during an out-of-town game in Ilagan, Isabela over the weekend.
Rizal was still licking the wound of its painful loss to San Juan, but came out more aggressive in stamping its class against Quezon City, 77-67.
