Raymark Madaya came away with a double-double game of 17 points and 12 boards as the University of Perpetual Help Junior Altas flexed their muscles over R1 Sports and served noticed of their title aspirations in the 19-under division of the National Developmental Sports League Basketball Series Tuesday at the Metpark Arena.
With Madaya proving his worth in less than 20 minutes, the rest of the Junior Altas were able to display their depth as team captain Brent Rosales scattered 16 markers, Lance Nitura added 10 and the rest of the team chipped in any way they can to carry University of Perpetual Help in the win column this early.
The Junior Altas used their speed advantage to the hilt where they got most their points.
They scored 30 points from their rivals’ 18 turnovers, while also outscoring them on fastbreaks, 32-7.
