Nuggets force rubber match after beating Thunder in Game 6

It’s going to be a winner-take-all showdown to secure the last spot in the Western Conference finals after the Denver Nuggets gave the visiting Oklahoma Thunder a whipping, 119-107, in Game 6 on Friday at the Ball Arena in Denver.

The Nuggets worked extra hard on securing the rebound, grabbing a total of 52 caroms as against 40 for the Thunder, with no less than Nikola Jokic muscling his way to get those boards.

On top of producing 29 points on a steady 64.3% shooting from the floor (9-of-14), Jokic also grabbed 14 boards, dished out eight assists and picked up two steals, numbers that defined what greatness is really all about in situations of this magnitude.

Two other players were also key contributors in the Nuggets’ much-needed victory — Jamal Murray and Christian Braun.

Murray came away with 25 points, grabbed eight boards and dished out seven assists while Braun completed a double-double game of 23 points and 11 boards.
