The Indiana Pacers unloaded 43 points in the first period then hold steadier down the stretch to outlast the New York Knicks, 130-121 in Game 4 of their Eastern Conference finals series and moved a win away from advancing to the championship round of the National Basketball Association Tuesday night (Wednesday in Manila) at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
Tyrese Haliburton completed a triple-double performance and Pascal Siakam had another solid outing for the Pacers, who shot a steady 51.1% from the field to make up for their rebounding deficiency.
New York outrebounded Indiana, 44-33, but that hardly had any effect on the Pacers, who played much better as a team, dishing out 29 assists, 12 more than the Knicks.
Haliburton was definitely the star of the show as he unloaded 32 points, grabbed 12 boards and dished out 15 assists.
Siakam, on the other hand, stepped up to the plate once more and tallied 30 markers.
