Pacers show balance firepower in outplaying Thunder in Game 3

The Indiana Pacers unloaded 40 points in the second quarter then picked up from where they left off in then fourth to outscore the Oklahoma Thunder anew and coasted to a 116-107 triumph in Game 3 of their NBA best-of-seven championship series on Wednesday night (Thursday in Manila) at the Gainbridge Fieldhbouse, Indianapolis.

Indiana had another steady shooting from the field, hitting 51.8% of its shots while drawing 21 points or more from three players.

Bennedict Mathurin came off the bench and produced 27 markers while Tyrese Haliburton flirted with a triple-double performance and finished with 22 points, 11 assists, nine rebounds and two steals in another solid all-around game to lead the Pacers in taking a 2-1 lead in their race-to-four series.

Pascal Siakam contributed 21 markers to go along with six rebounds and dishing out four assists.

The Pacers played much better as a team, distributing 24 assists, eight more than their rivals.
