Ray Parks Jr. (Osaka Evessa) won the “Resona Group B.LEAGUE 2024-25 SEASON IMPRESSIVE ASIA PLAYER OF THE YEAR” for his outstanding performance as an Asia special quota player. This is his first time receiving the award. Ray Parks Jr. played in 60 games for Osaka Evessa this season, starting 57 of them and averaging 29.25 minutes of playtime. Despite being a newly added roster member, he played an essential role in the team. He averaged 13.6 points per game, with a 3-point shooting percentage of 31.5%, and consistently contributed stable performances throughout the season.
The B1 Regular Season Best Five, determined by votes from head coaches, players, and the media, consists of Makoto Hiejima (Utsunomiya Brex), D.J. Newbill (Utsunomiya Brex), David Nwaba (San-en NeoPhoenix), Ryusei Sasaki (San-en NeoPhoenix), and Vic Law (Ryukyu Golden Kings).
D.J. Newbill (Utsunomiya Brex) received the “Resona Group B.LEAGUE 2024-25 B1 SEASON MVP” award, marking the first time in B.LEAGUE history that a player has won the MVP two years in a row. His exceptional performance led the team to its fourth district championship in two consecutive years.
Riku Segawa (Chiba Jets) received the “Resona Group B.LEAGUE 2024-25 SEASON Most Impressive Player (MIP)” award, selected by representatives from B.LEAGUE and media, for his impactful performances both on and off the court.
The “Kokoro Tagiru” award is given to individuals or groups that create exciting moments or results that move the hearts of B.LEAGUE fans. Two clubs received this award: Levanga Hokkaido, who set a B1 (first division) attendance record of 19,462 at their home game on December 28, 2024, at ES CON FIELD HOKKAIDO, the baseball team Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters’ home stadium. Kobe Stokes was also recognized for setting a B2 (second division) record by drawing 10,062 spectators to their brand-new venue on April 20, 2025. The team also impressed fans with a dramatic comeback victory in overtime during the opening game of the GLION ARENA KOBE on April 5.
