Smash rips R1 Sports to crack NDSL caging win column

Smash displayed its superb bench firepower in outplaying R1Sports, 97-61, to crack the win column of the National Developmental Sports League Basketball Series 19-under division at the Metpark Sports Arena on Thursday.

Producing 58 points from players coming off the bench, which were 51 more than their rivals, the shock troopers of Smash clearly outplayed the relievers of R1 Sports as they were simply outmatched in terms of depth.

Hinerich Asor poured in 18 points and led the firepower of players coming off the bench.

Khyles Sy added 14, team captain Raffy Esquierra and Andrei Aquino had 12 apiece and Jhayar Vinas contributed 10 for Smash.

Only Aaron Ignacio and Marcus Rico ended up in double figures for R1 Sports as the duo combined for 35 of the 61 produced by their team.
