Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the rest of the Oklahoma Thunder are just one win away from the Western Conference finals.
This happened after the Thunder came out stronger in the fourth quarter of Game 5, where they outscored the Denver Nuggets, 34-19, to take the 112-105 win and move on threshold of advancing to the Western Conference championship round Wednesday at the Payton Center in Oklahoma City.
Gilgeous-Alexander finished the game with 31 points, including a perfect 6-of-6 shots from the charity stripes, but he did more than just scoring as he also dished out seven assists, grabbed six boards, stole the ball twice and came away with two blocks in a solid all-aorund performance.
Gilgeous-Alexander’s three-point shot with 47 seconds left in the game, allowed the Thunder to create some separation, 109-103, and put more pressure on the Nuggets.
The Nuggets drew another solid game from Nikola Jokic, who put up monster numbers of 44 points, 15 rebounds, five assists and two steals.
