Vengeful Timberwolves devour Thunder in Game 3

Grit and determination to put away the Oklahoma Thunder quickly were written all over the faces of the Minnesota Timberwolves, who somehow exacted vengeance by giving their opponents a sound beating in Game 3, 143-101, in their Western Conference championship series Saturday night (Sunday morning) at the Target Center in Minneapolis.

Nearly given up for dead after losing their first two games, the Timberwolves bounced back strong and proved to everyone they’re very much in the series.

They started doing it at the defensive end, holding down Season Most Valuable Player Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to just 14 points on a paltry 4-of-13 shooting from the floor .

Offensively, Anthony Edwards presided when needed the most, knocking down 30 points while Julius Randle came away with yet another productive game, contributing 24.

Leonard Miller had 11 points, and Naz Reid and Jaden McDaniels produced 10 apiece.
