X-Man gets job done as Aces rule TAT Passi leg

In the end, The X-Man made sure he’ll save the best for last.

A day after seeing teammate Denzel Wong setting league records, Xavier Alexander preserved his A-game in the most important stage of the leg as he came away with a triple-double performance in leading The Aces to an 89-76 win over home team Passi Titans and rule the league’s pitstop on Sunday at the City of Passi Arena in Iloilo.

Wong presided in offense just as expected, knocking down 24 points, but Alexander’s all-around performance was felt even more by his teammates as the veteran import submitted impressive numbers of 14 points, 17 rebounds and 10 assists as the Aces won another championship.

Serhii Pryimak finished with a double-double game of 17 points and 10 boards while Macky Acosta contributed 10 for The Aces, who scored a fitting payback win against the home team at the most crucial stretch of the tournament.

The Aces capitalized on the points off turnovers, scoring 21 coming off the 17 miscues committed by the Titans, who also found themselves getting manhandled in second-chance points, 26-14.
